There are only a few days left to purchase your tickets for the annual dinner. It will be a wonderful evening.
GCHS 52nd Annual Dinner Wednesday, May 15, 2019
Owen Sound Social hour 5-6 p.m. Dinner @ 6 p.m.
Our programme for the evening will be presented by the group, Métissage. Métissage tells the lesser-known history of Owen Sound's First Nations, Métis, Black settlers, working class and women leaders. The Collective, formed by Rob Rolfe, Larry Jensen, Mary Little, Richard-Yves Sitoski, Susan Staves, Will Henry, and Frank Francalanza, marries enthusiasm for heritage with poetry, story and song. Métissage does not have a plot or story line; instead, try to picture yourself with a group of friends, sharing stories around a kitchen table. The group’s aim is to present mainly untold stories in a way that is reminiscent of the multi-coloured interwoven threads in a traditional Métis sash.Location: Georgian Shores United Church, 997 4th Avenue East, Owen Sound
The cost is $35.00 per person. Dinner will be a roast beef and chicken buffet.
Tickets must be paid for by May 10th. They are available from Board Members.
