Wednesday, March 20 meeting -- Agnes Macphail

Wednesday, March 20 at 1:30 p.m. South Grey Museum, Flesherton

The South Grey Museum was established in 1973 as a pioneer heritage museum celebrating early history of the area, where Agnes Macphail was born and raised to become a rural teacher and the first female member of parliament. Agnes reflected the strength of local rural women and the need for strong advocacy for the agricultural community. This need to be heard on the wider political stage is still relevant in today’s urban-ruled world. Come and explore the history of “Voices from the Farm” on the local, provincial and national stage in an interesting multi-faceted presentation.

Location: South Grey Museum, Flesherton, Ontario.

All are welcome.
Members --- Quorum is important. Please plan on attending.

Tickets for the Annual Dinner in May will be available.
