From its beginning as a mill village to its current persona as "Artsburg", Clarksburg has a history of re-inventing itself to address the changing times. Clarksburg has produced its share of famous sons including; Clifford Calverley whose high-wire feats included a crossing of the Niagara Gorge and Sir Sam Steele who helped tame the Canadian west.Rob Potter, former editor of the Courier-Herald newspaper, will explore the highlights of the history of this scenic Beaver River village.
The meeting will be held at the recently renovated Marsh Street Centre.
