Clarksburg aka "Artsburg" in the Town of the Blue Mountains - November meeting

Wednesday, November 20 at 1:30 p.m.

From its beginning as a mill village to its current persona as "Artsburg", Clarksburg has a history of re-inventing itself to address the changing times. Clarksburg has produced its share of famous sons including; Clifford Calverley whose high-wire feats included a crossing of the Niagara Gorge and Sir Sam Steele who helped tame the Canadian west.

Rob Potter, former editor of the Courier-Herald newspaper, will explore the highlights of the history of this scenic Beaver River village.

The meeting will be held at the recently renovated Marsh Street Centre.

 Coordinator: Frank Bassingthwaite 519.538.3661

All are welcome to attend.

Location: Marsh Street Centre, 187 Marsh St. Clarksburg
