Hibou Park Picnic
Come and share a picnic lunch, rain, or shine at Hibou Park, noon, on July 19th. We will be under a shelter. Drive straight ahead after you enter the park.
Bring food to share, lawn chair and sweater/ jacket as it may be breezy.
The Society will supply the plates, cutlery, napkins, and cold drinks.
Hibou Park is located between Owen Sound and Leith on the left side of the road, when coming from Owen Sound. Watch for the signage. It is situated on 20 hectares of wetland on the beautiful shore of Georgian Bay.
Our guest speaker is Bob Knapp who 50 years ago saw this underdeveloped shoreline and persuaded the Sauble Conservation Authorities to purchase this land. Hear his passionate story of the beginnings of Hibou, its name and other bits of information.
Entry cost to the park is $10 per car. [They don’t accept cash.]
