The Owen Sound Legion Branch #6, celebrated its 90th Anniversary in 2017. Our guest speaker is Patty Sargent-Gibson, President of the Owen Sound Legion, She will talk about the work of providing support for veterans, and support for others in the community. The Legion maintains an extensive collection of Branch history.

Did you know that the 1,000 person to become a member of the Owen Sound Legion was Miss Margaret Dewar? She was welcomed as a member by Legion President Stewart Douglas on his final date as president. R. Neath, C. Sutcliffe, Joe Ferris, R. J. Turner, Johnny McKay and Alvin Walter.

The next meeting of Grey County Historical Society will be Wednesday, September 19 at the Owen Sound Legion at 1:30 p.m.
