Wednesday, June 20 at 12:30 p.m. Summer Potluck Owen Sound
When Styn [our Society President] and her late husband, Fred, bought the farm in 1973, they knew nothing of its history. Luckily, Jean MacDonald, a member of the same church they attended, was happy to learn of their purchase. Jean then wrote about the land and its many owners and the building of the back addition. She gave them a wonderful picture of the home taken in the late 1800s. Living on the farm for over 40 years, Styn will take you back in time with some prints, deeds, and stories.
Come and enjoy the outdoors under the maple tree and share a pot luck lunch on the spacious lawn or on the front porch if the weather does not co-operate.
Bring your lawn chairs.
There will be a short business meeting. We did not have quorum at the annual meeting, so a few minutes will be spent on the necessary motions.
