British Home Children - September meeting

Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 1:30 p.m.

Lori Oschefski is a Genealogical Researcher and Advocate whose work is recognized world wide. In December of 2012, Lori founded the first national organization in Canada for the British Home Children, British Home Children Advocacy & Research Association. (BHCARA) Ms. Oschefski became involved with the Home Children when, in 2010, her mother, at the age of eighty six, revealed that she had been adopted. Ms. Oschefski soon discovered that her mother was, in fact, a Child Migrant of the Salvation Army brought to Canada in 1924. Many children were brought to Grey County by Dr. Bernardo.

Location: Grey Roots, 102599 Grey Road 18, R. R. #4, Owen Sound

Everyone is welcome to come learn more about the British Home Children.
