April 2013 General meeting

Members and guests met at Grey Roots to learn about best practices about preserving our documents and heirlooms. We also had the opportunity to see behind the scenes in the archives and the collection area.

Archivist, Karin Noble showed examples of original items that are kept in the climate controlled storage area. She also quizzed us on our knowledge of Grey County History. Several received prizes.

Registrar, Joan Hyslop took us behind the scenes of collections. We saw many interesting items that can be used in the museum displays.

Ted Noble took us out to see several steam engines.

We then had some refreshments before going on to the business of the day that included our annual meeting.
