Grey County Historical Society

Irish eyes were certainly smiling when the Society held their March 17th meeting in Durham. The weather was perfect for travelling and many were able to attend.

Paula Niall, our communications chair, and Jake Penner, one of our hosts, were outside to welcome all who came to see Bon Accord and to hear Grey County stories. Don Eckhardt, our other host, shared stories about the home and some of their special items on display. After some tasty refreshments and an opportunity to look around, Peter Hopwood shared some stories of Grey County people and events. It was a day for telling stories and some also shared theirs.

President, Rod Saunders reminded everyone of the next meeting and our annual dinner in May. The tickets are now on sale.
