July meeting - Potluck supper in the Beaver Valley

As it has come to be the custom the last couple of years, it is time for the Society's summer potluck. Potlucks are fun because you never know what everyone is bringing. Will there be any meat dish? Will it be all salads or first course or could we have mostly desserts? Although most of us love desserts and the chance to sample a number of dishes, it can be challenging when the offerings are mostly desserts. I have attended several where we had very few main course dishes. It is easier to have it the other way around. 99% of the time, it works out just perfectly.

Have you decided what you are going to bring? What do you usually bring to a potluck? Does it depend on the weather or the season?

Don't forget to bring a lawn chair and your dishes and cutlery.

If you need instructions to Mike's and Christine's home in the Beaver Valley, email info AT greycountys DOT ca.

After we have eaten and a short business meeting, we will gather inside for Suzanne Purdy's presentation on the Craigleith Depot (now a museum).

See you at 6 on Wednesday. I can't wait to see and taste what you bring.
