Heritage Certificate of Recognition 2015 - Winner Les MacKinnon

It is with great pleasure that the Grey County Historical Society will award the Heritage Certificate of Recognition for 2015 to Les McKinnon.

 For over 25 years, Les has been involved in promoting and preserving Grey County History. He has a real passion and commitment to sharing neglected parts of our past and is involved with many groups. These include: Heritage Pathways, the Old Durham Pioneer Cemetery Registration Committee, Emancipation Day Festival, etc.  He has been an adjudicator at the Regional Heritage Fair where young people present their history projects. Les is respected and valued in his endeavours to preserve the history of our county and country.


The award will be presented at the 2015 Annual Dinner on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Georgian Shores United Church in Owen Sound. The social hour is form 5 to 6 p.m. The dinner is a stuffed pork buffet. Cost $25.00 paid in advance. Tickets must be purchased by May 10.
