The May Funeral Home in Markdale was built by Dr. Thomas Sproule
in 1883. He was a medical doctor and entrepreneur who turned to politics and
was first elected as a Conservative MP for Grey East in 1878. He fell in love
with Mary Alice Flesher and had this beautiful Italianate home built for her
that he called Knarsboro Hall. Come and learn more about the history of this
marvelous building and Dr. Thomas Simpson Sproule.
