Fun at the March meeting

Fun and play are two words that can be used to describe the March meeting held near Meaford at Carl Jolley's Toy Riding Museum.

After a brief meeting, Carl Jolley shared the story of how he collects the different toys as well as the restoration work. The group was divided into two groups. While a group was touring the museum, the other group enjoyed refreshments, looked at books on antique riding toys, looked at the smaller scale toy collection, visited and played crokinole.

The tour of the museum brought back memories of some childhood toys but introduced us to some unusual toys as well or from versions before our time. Everywhere you looked there was something interesting to see. Carl Jolley shared some of the stories behind the different items on display.

The following are a just a few photos of items in the museum.

Thank you to the Jolleys for hosting our meeting. It was a fun afternoon.
