The summer is going quickly and it is almost time for the next meeting of the historical society. I hope you have your calendar marked for August 19 at 1:30 p.m. at the Grey Roots theatre.
Paul Banko and his wife Sheila are travelling north to visit relatives and to speak to the group. His presentation looks very interesting. (I have had a sneak peak at his presentation.)
Nathaniel Harriman, a key local "character" in Paul's presentation, built the "Rockford Castle" in the early 1850s. Learn more about the "castle" and this early Derby Township resident.
