Walter's Falls - Early Grey County Artists (April 2009)

The panel - Bud Reid, John Landen, Jr., Rod Saunders, Michael Milhausen and Betty Warrilow. Each spoke and responded to questions.

Betty Warrilow has researched the 240 artists (all deceased) from early Grey County. Not all artists were represented in the paintings shown. The majority of the paintings were landscapes. As one person said, "The paintings show the varied interpretation of the landscape of Grey County." Some examples of the carvings by John Landen Sr. were also on display.
The audience participated by asking questions and sharing memories of artists.
After the presentation, everyone had the opportunity to mingle, enjoy refreshments, to admire the works of art and to look at the research information compiled about each artist.
