Subscribing to this Blog

If you are new to reading blogs, you may wonder how do you know when new material is posted. There are several ways you can do this.

1. You could bookmark the site in your favorites and keep checking back to see if anything new has been added. This way is fine if you regularly read only one or two blogs.

2. If you have Internet Explorer, you can have feeds appear in your browser. This is fine if you use only one computer. [see instructions below]

3. Subscribe in a feed reader. This means only one place to check if you read several or many blogs. [see instructions below]

4. If you are on Facebook, use the application Networked Blogs. The Grey County Historical Society is listed there.

How do you know if a website can be tracked with a feed reader? Look on your toolbar for the small RSS [Real simple syndication] feed icon. When it is grey, it isn't available for subscriptions. (free) When it is orange, you can subscribe to the web site.

Below are some instructions on how to subscribe to this blog. If you already have a blog reader, use the subscribe button on the right panel of the blog.

Click on the arrow to advance the slide show. I'd appreciate knowing if you found these instructions helpful.
